The 2013 Rock Island Summer Ag Institute for teachers is scheduled for June 24-28, 2013. The five-day course focusing on agriculture will offer three graduate credit hours in cooperation with Aurora University, or Continuing Professional Development Units. The tour helps pre K-12 grade teachers integrate instruction about the food and fiber industry into their present curriculum. 

The course includes field trips to local food production plants, river barge elevators, local farms, and other agribusiness operations.

The RICFB office will be closed Monday December 24th, Tuesday December 25th and Wednesday December 26th for the New Year's they will be closed Monday December 31st and January 1st.

Current Rock Island County Farm Bureau members can purchase theme park tickets at the FB office. Those theme parks included are:

Six Flags in St Louis - 1 day general pass ( 3 years and up; includes waterpark) $ 33.00 per ticket - a savings of $ 16.99 per ticket at gate!

Six Flags of Great America - 1 day general pass $ 36.50 per ticket - savings of $ 25.29 per ticket.

Adventureland -$ 30.50 per ticket - savings of $ 8.50 per ticket.
