The 2013 Rock Island Summer Ag Institute for teachers is
scheduled for June 24-28, 2013. The five-day course focusing on agriculture
will offer three graduate credit hours in cooperation with Aurora University, or
Continuing Professional Development Units. The tour helps pre K-12 grade
teachers integrate instruction about the food and fiber industry into their
present curriculum.
The course includes field trips to local food production
plants, river barge elevators, local farms, and other agribusiness operations.
